For 40 years I have both bred, ridden and owned many diverse types of horses. I use these experiences to help others develop a partnership with their equine friends.
I am a BHS accredited professional coach and an approved British Working Equitation Instructor who regularly attends CPD days, training and clinics as with horses, you never stop learning. I am very happy to work with all levels from those just starting out to more experienced combinations. It is the variety that makes my job extra special.
I have been fortunate to ride and own some outstanding competition horses over the years. Including national title wins at affiliated British Show Jumping events, BSPS and Ponies UK. For Show Jumping, Working Hunter and Flat showing. Alongside this I have also competed in affiliated dressage working equitation, unaffiliated XC and hunting.
In more recent years I have bred my own horses and have enjoyed the journey of doing the entire process from newborn, youngstock handling, starting out under saddle, to competent horses in whatever has been their specialism.
It is always important that the horse’s character and natural strengths are taken into consideration if a horse and rider is to be successful whether you wish your horse to be your perfect hacking partner or if you wish to compete at some level. I strongly believe if getting off your horse you are smiling you are always winning, whatever your level of ambition.
Training can be Private, Shared or arrange your own Group Clinic. It can also involve me schooling your horse.
I regularly travel up to approximately 45 minutes from S36 and will consider further away if two or more hours are booked.
Or you can come to me and use a 25x60m outdoor arena with set of jumps available at Millhouse Green near Penistone. No additional cost.
