Thank you to all those who turned out to support us, we were lucky to enjoy fantastic weather for our show. Due to the unusually dry weather that we have had for the whole of September the show was switched back to Myrefield so jump riders could benefit from the perfect going on the allweather arena.

All
classes carried points toward winning a championship
rug. The Eventual showing championship rug
went to Huddersfield rider Jane Boothroyd and Pippa
(pictured far left). Jane and Pippa's wins
included the Senior Equitation and Coloured Horse/Pony
as well as various other good placings through out the
day. The Championship was only decided at the end
of the day during the final class. Going into the
last class of the day 3 riders were all on equal points
and all entered in the final class. In the final
class judge Debbie Harrod placed Jane Boothroyd 1st,
with Rachel Pearson and Big Taz finishing 2nd to end
just one point behind the eventual points winner,
Rachel had earlier in the day also won the Riding Club
horse/pony and Best Schooled. Third in the
overall points table went to Louise Harrison and her
young pony Lowstock Riff Raff (pictured above right)
they had also been double winners of the Ridden Pony
class and Pure/partbred inhand class.

In
the jumping classes a clear overall points championship
rug winner emerged with Ella Wicks riding Calypso
(pictured far right) winning the 75cm and 85cm Style
and Performance and the 85cm Show Jumping Classes.
In the 85cm SJ class riding last in the jump off they
managed a narrow victory of 0.8 seconds just ahead of
the first to jump off rider Terry Walsh and Secret.
The 65cm class was a win for Laura Smyth and Jake
(pictured near right).
Their win was especially deserving as in an earlier
style and performance class her saddle had slipped so
far forward it had been amazing she had completed the
round and stayed on at all, so well done Laura!
As always thanks must go to all our helpers, our show judge (who had badly twisted her knee the day before) and special thanks to David and Guy for standing in to take some photographs (Pete was away), I am sure all who enjoy looking at the site will agree, one picture speaks a thousands words.
