John Lloyd is one of the North of Englands busiest Judges. He is on most panels covering various types of horses and ponies from Miniatures, Coloureds, Hunters through to Racehorses…. including judging Horse of the Year Show qualifiers.
UPDATE 18 MAY 7PM – Forecast is for rain overnight clearing by 7-8am. In the event of any remaining showers if necessary the barn will be available for some indoor discussion inbetween the ridden/inhand demos on the arena. Dress warm.
The day will start with a talk and demo covering both In-hand and ridden showing with a section also discussing what a ride judge looks for. Various types and standards of horses and ponies will be used with the audience being encouraged to ask any questions they wish.
For those who would like some ridden guidance on improving their performance in the show ring there will then be the opportunity to bring your horse along and ride in groups of 3 to 6 (1hr) where John will give you pointers on what the judge is looking for and how to best present your horse. All rider and their horses will be made to feel welcome and encouraged to make the best of themselves.

Tracey Newman Show Jumping Sessions
Tuesday 29th May 2012
Tracey left John Whitakers yard having been there for 12 years managing and producing his young horses to set up her own yard. Tracey prides herself on keeping managing & training horses uncomplicated and simple.
Internationally she has competed on Winning Nations cup teams, been placed in Volvo World Cup Qualifiers and competed at top International Show Jumping Events such as Spruce Meadows.
Nationally she has produced many successful horses including becoming British National Ladies Champion on Paradis a horse she produced herself from a 5 year old.
Sessions will be held approx. 2pm till 8.00pm at Myrefield, Lea Lane, Millhouse Green, Nr Penistone, S Yorkshire, S36 9NN (60 x 25m Allweather Arena)
Group Session will last 1 hour with 3 to 4 riders per group.

This Show is affiliated to Equifest, taking place at the East of England Showground on the 15th – 19th August 2012. The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. (providing the entrant is compliant with Equifests Rules for the Championship final). Riders who wish to ride at the championship finals must have a 2012 qualifier card which must be signed in the ring. “This show is affiliated to The Coloured Horse & Pony Society (UK). Both owner and the rider/exhibitor need not be a member of CHAPS (UK) nor must the horse or pony be registered with CHAPS (UK) to compete. The CHAPS (UK) Championship Show will be held on . 30th August- 1st September1st 2012. MHCGB QUALIFIERS
The miniature horse classes are open to horses not exceeding 38″ at maturity. The classes are run under the rules of the Miniature Horse Club of Great Britain, a copy of the rules can be obtained from The President, MHCGB, Newclose Farm, Calf Fallow Lane, Norton, Stockton on Tees TS20 1PQ or downloaded from the MHCGB website www.mhcgb.net. This show is a qualifier for MHCGB National Championship Show held at Moulton College Equestrian Centre, Northampton 26th -27th August, 2012.

Legup Equestrian General Rules & Conditions of Entry
1. Judges decision is final.
2. Any objections to be lodged within 15 minutes of class finishing with a fee of £20, if objection upheld the objection fee will be returned.
3. Hard hats to current BSI standard with chin strap must be worn in all ridden classes and in in-hand classes by handlers 16 years or under.
4. No animal under 4 years to compete in ridden classes.
5. Stallions will be allowed but must be handled or ridden by appropriate person in line with current PUK rules.
6. Spurs may only be used by riders in SJ classes and in classes as specified by PUK. Schooling whips may be carried in clear round and equitation classes in all other classes no whips to exceed 75cm.
7. Cruelty and anti social behavior will not to be tolerated we reserve the right to ask any such person to leave the grounds.
8. You are advised to have your own insurance.
9. No refunds for entry fees will be allowed unless the class is cancelled by the organizer.
10. Except in the PUK and CHAPS qualifier classes – In the event of a class entry not exceeding 5 competitors the organizers reserve the right to combine or cancel classes as appropriate.

All team member entries must be submitted on one form and received by 19th June. minimum 3 team members - maximum 8. No further team entries will be accepted on the day.
Points will be awarded in classes 1, 2, 3, 23, 31, 37, 39, 40. 1st = 6pts, 2nd = 5pts, 3rd = 4pts, 4th = 3pts, 5th = 2pts, 6th = 1pt.
All classes are open to both team members and individual entries. Only one entry per class per team. However clubs etc. may enter more than one team. Entrants may only compete for one team but may compete upto 2 horses on that team though not in the same class.
All team members are invited to take part in the Evening Performance. £100 to the winning team - plus team placings down to 4th.

The two highest exhibits not already qualified in each affiliated class will qualify. (providing the entrant is compliant with Equifests Rules for the Championship final).
